Transparency and action in the green economy: How cities and the private sector can work together to create change on the ground 15 June 2012: 5:30pm – 7:00pm followed by a drinks reception Room T-6, RioCentro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil To help countries move to a green economy, cities and companies need to play their part and take action on sustainable development, such as setting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and developing water management strategies, as well as identifying and implementing energy efficiency and carbon reduction measures that have a positive return on investment. This event will create a dialogue between cities, the private sector and key international decision-makers. We will hear personal testimonies from practitioners in business and city government, as well as responses from senior international decision-makers. CDP will present outcomes of recent research about how leading cities are managing climate change and water use.
