O governo brasileiro tem participado da Parceria Interina em REDD+ (www.reddpluspartnership.org) desde sua criação em 2010.
Nesse contexto, encaminho abaixo mensagem (em inglês) dos co-presidentes sobre a proposta de plano de trabalho referente ao primeiro semestre de 2012. Em anexo, seguem informações (também em inglês) sobre a primeira atividade a ser realizada neste semestre: uma oficina a respeito de financiamento, seguindo orientações da Decisão 1/CP.17, que ocorrerá em Londres nos dias 27 e 28 fevereiro de 2012.
No dia 16 de fevereiro de 2012 pela manhã estarei disponível pelo skype (unterstellnatalie) para oferecer maiores informações e receber insumos, caso seja de interesse.

Dear REDD+ partners,
Further to the invitation to the meeting in London on 27-28 February, we would like to take this opportunity to present you with our proposed workplan for the first six months of 2012, together with an elaboration of the elements that we think it would be useful to discuss at the meeting in London.
For the workplan, we have reflected the key messages we heard from you in Durban. The first meeting of the Partnership, in London, will be focused on financing REDD+. As we discussed, this will be an outreach meeting where we will invite in external practitioners, both from the world of REDD+ and elsewhere, to discuss ways in which we can scale up and accelerate the flow of financing for REDD+. This will include discussions on financing from non-market sources, and on models for market financing, including how a ‘compliance-grade’ REDD+ credit might be achieved. The ‘elements’ paper elaborates on potential topics for discussion.
We are hoping for senior attendance from external participants with a good knowledge of financial issues at this meeting, and encourage partners to consider their attendance in this context.
